Something I didn’t expect to find myself doing is designing a UI of something. Not because of ability but just because I just didn’t expect to have the opportunity to have a go at that. At university, part of my studies covered HCI (Human Computer Interface) and we studied about computer interfaces. (I won’t go into it too much as it gets technical). We even went into cognition and went into some psychology on that course. I have to say I enjoyed it very much so.
Recently for the first time all that studying came in handy as I started to design the SIDBox’s UI. And on a whiteboard of all things.
I have to say it was actually a lot of fun and to finally see it implemented in the SIDBox and using it is quite an experience! I have to say I think I’ve taken a liking to designing UIs.
