Alo to you! It’s been a while since I’ve updated my website and blog.
I firstly wish to begin by letting you know that I’ve updated the gaming section of my website with a link to ‘Ms Mad Lemon Gaming’
Quite a number of you follow me on my ‘Ms Mad Lemon’ project channel, where the theme of the videos is ‘creativity fueled by nostalgia.’ However there is so much going on. I’ve noticed the comments I get every now and then about the direction of my channel.
So let’s continue and figure this one out.
Examining The Tangle
So “Creativity fueled by nostalgia” Is a little vague and elaborating with “Vintage computers (Especially Amiga) and audio as well as Music Creation and Electronics. On top of that, gaming being thrown into the mix”. Is quite a bit to digest.
The core of the matter is that I actually struggle very much to focus on a single one of my interests, simply because my interests overlap to that extent. I’m talking about in life here rather than my channel itself.
I create Music with my Amiga but also Electronics is involved when I wish to create something to use in my Amiga / Music setup. This also includes repairing or recapping Boomboxes, amplifiers and personal stereos. Which is where my interest for Vintage Audio comes in. Not to mention I use vintage audio gear as part of my music creation setup.
I have my passion for photography, which is one of the things I completed at university. This is behind the filming of the channel itself, all the videography you see in the project videos as well as the music videos I create for some of my music.
As you can see, all my interests seem to be connected to one another in big ways. Everything feels integrated.
Rich has always described my way of doing things as a bit mad-scientist-like. I dive into things, exploring avenues outside my comfort zone, things flying around everywhere and I come up with a result in the end. I suppose I even have the 80s-esque unruly hair to further prove his description of me.
Refining My Channel
Well, I have been thinking for a while to create a separate channel for gaming only. I wish I had done it much earlier and nearly did a few years back but I got discouraged. Had I done so I think a third of my ‘Nostalgia Time’ Videos would have been on my second channel.
So from now on, gaming videos including ‘Nostalgia Time’ gaming will be uploaded to ‘Ms Mad Lemon Gaming’. At least that takes one thing out of the tangle.
Actually, half way through writing this post I ended up tidying up my playlists and videos on my main channel ‘Ms Mad Lemon’.

I sort of feel better about my channel’s structure after doing that, even though it’s not focused onto one topic. Which results in commenters periodically trying to play tug of war with my channel theme and nudging me to go one way or another.
The thing is, I’m unable to separate one thing from another. Everything is interconnected, I need to pursue one interest to progress with another a lot of the time. I suppose I am a bit “Mad-Scientist-Like” with things flying around the room in a Pink Panther-esque fashion.
Another thing I’m not going to do is post arty stuff, as in painting with oils etc. Designing album artwork being the only exception but I can always show that within videos like I did when I created the artwork for my last cassette release.
Next album ‘Subdued Light’ will be releasing soon by the way.
So Is ‘Ms Mad Lemon’ an Amiga Channel?
It brings warmth to my heart when people do call me an Amiga channel or call me “Queen of Amiga” or “One of the Stars of the Amiga world”. I would feel quite honoured to have such a title…

Though I’m not sure if I deserve it. For me the true stars are those who created the Amiga and those who created wonderful things on it which make me nostalgic for the 80s and 90s <3
What does it mean to have an “Amiga” Channel? Do I talk about Amiga hardware and software only? You can only do so many set-up and install videos before things start getting a bit dry.
My approach is to proudly show where I use my Amiga for creativity, such as creating music on Octamed 4, Soundtracker Pro II or AHX Tracker.
Or creating video clips using the genlock, a video titler and an analogue video camera. Or maybe even designing a logo in deluxe paint.
I absolutely LOVE using the Amiga to create and proudly show it whenever possible. Maybe not every single video I post is specifically about the Amiga. (possibly three quarters of my channel is Amiga related) I also love showcasing other people’s Amiga work like Demos and tracker MODs…So…Maybe, you could class it as an Amiga channel?
Put it this way, I use the Amiga A LOT in what I do on my channel, even if the video is not primarily Amiga related.
So is my channel an Amiga channel? I’ll leave you to decide. 🙂
What’s Currently Happening on ‘Ms Mad Lemon Gaming’ ?
I’ve launched ‘Ms Mad Lemon Gaming’ with a gameplay of ‘Vintage Story’. This is a sandbox game similar to Minecraft but a bit more mature and focused more on the survival elements. Of course in future Minecraft videos will be a thing too as I still need to do a grand tour of the enormous world I’ve been building since I started this channel back in 2015. I can’t believe it’s almost 10 years now!
Eventually, Nostalgia Time will return to that channel and also be a thing there So I have plans. However, I get the feeling the Vintage story series will be a long and ongoing series on it despite everything else I post on it. I’ll let you see for yourself why I’ve grown to like it so much 🙂
Please don’t forget to press that wretched youtube bell icon or you’ll never know when I’ve next posted 😀
